Disappointed Lobo fans look to NCAA Tourney
thousands of disappointed lobo fans in las vegas tonight ... after coming up just short against the san diego state aztecs. antoinette antonio is live at the thomas and mack. antoinette how devastated are the fans tonight? all the fans we talked to are pretty disappointed... but all things considered -- they are still upbeat and optimistic about their team. "everyone's a lobo, woof woof woof!!" an excited crowd of lobo fans showed up at the thomas and mack -- otherwise known as "the pit west" this week. it was a loud one during the game-- lobo fans outnumbering the san diego state aztecs. but just wasn't enough as the lobos lost this nail biter by one point. lobo fans say they're moving on.. looking forward to the big dance. we fought hard, we just didn't have it. but you know the ncaa is coming up so we'll do it there, we'll do it there. we still got teh big dance coming up, that's at matters. we didn't get this one but we got hte ncaa coming up it was an axciting game and these are the type of games that we've been used to all year long and this one game just came up a little bit short the lobos have had a huge show of support this weekend, t-shirt vendors completely sold out of lobo gear yesterday -- but got a new shipment in time for today's game. again -- a disappointing night... but we're all looking forward. next step.. packing the pit for selection sunday.
